Icy Tower 2, A Great Looking Jumping Game [iOS Quick Look]

I am sure we are all familiar with the iOS hit Doodle Jump. Icy Tower 2 is similar to it, after all, it is all about jumping and trying to survive for as long as you can. However, the looks of these 2 games are so different. We got to spend some time playing Icy Tower 2, and I admit, the game was definitely entertaining.

I do have one complain, the controls feel a little weird to me. There are touch controls, and tilt controls, and you can switch the controls in the settings menu. I absolutely hated the touch controls, I felt I did not have control of my character. The tilt controls are better, but still, not perfect. You need to tilt your device in order to move your character. The problem is that you really need to tilt your device kind of hard in order to move from one side to the other side of the screen. If you move your device just a little, then your character doesn’t really move too much.

The graphics are great, I got to the play the game on the iPad third generation. The graphics are very colorful and clear. Every 100 floors, the graphics change as well, and you will be facing new challenges which gives the game some gameplay variety.

So the goal in the game is to jump on the platforms, avoid falling and climb as high as you can. Of course, we can’t forget about the upgrades that are available in the store. By playing, you get to collect some money that can be spent in upgrades. Some upgrades give you more money, others give you an umbrella that will give you a boost, and more. There are also one time use power ups and different outfits for your character.

I am definitely liking this game, like I said, my major complain in the game are the controls. They somewhat feel weird, but the game is still enjoyable and free. Definitely check it out if you are into jumping games.
