Pudding Monsters, A Very Sticky Puzzler That Is Worth A Look [iOS, Android Review]
Pudding Monsters is the newest game from the creators of Cut The Rope, and I must say, the game is definitely not as good as Cut The Rope, but still worth a look. Check out our review to find out our impressions.
Graphics:
The graphics look great, they are very colorful and fun to look at. Plus it seems certain pudding monsters have different personalities which makes the game more interesting.
Controls/Gameplay:
The controls are very intuitive, you will just need to slide your finger on the screen in order to move each pudding monsters. Really, anybody can really play this game since it’s so simple to control and play.
Each level is pretty fun, and you will start out with different blobs of pudding on the screen. Your goal is to make them stick together in order to create a bigger pudding monster. Once you move a blob to one direction, it will not stop until it hits something. Naturally, the game really gets challenging when it comes to collecting all 3 stars per level.
In order to collect a star, you must land on top of the star, and it can sometimes be a challenge. The good news is that you can easily replay a level or even take some time solving the puzzle since there is no timer on the levels. There are even some different character types, some leave behind a sticky residue, others move at the same time, and more. The graphics are quite nice, and if you have an iPad, I would definitely recommend getting the HD version which is the same price as the iPhone version.
The levels are very colorful and cartoony, which is great for the whole family and you really can’t go wrong spending a buck for a game that will keep you busy for a while.
Story/Premise:
The Pudding Monsters are on a mission to save their friends from the cold-hearted fridge owner! Growing into an ULTIMATE MEGA MONSTER sounds like the most reliable plan.
Replay Value:
Pudding Monsters comes with 75 levels, so it definitely sounds quite reasonable for just a buck. Not to mention that if you are the type of player who likes to get all 3 stars on each level, then you will most likely be busy for a while.
Conclusion:
Pudding Monsters is a decent game for just a buck and one of those that you will not want to miss if you are into puzzle games. It is not as good as Cut The Rope in my opinion, but still worth getting. Pudding Monsters has a lot of charm and it is quite enjoyable.
